Post-Christmas Joy!

Usually when Christmas is over I am so sad and the week following I try to figure out what to look forward to next.  This year, not the case.  I have a huge bundle of joy coming my way in exactly 10 weeks!  So I guess it is time to start planning accordingly.
  1. Final touches on nursery.  Like a light fixture, window treatments, and cute knick knacks for his book shelf.
  2. Find an awesome replacement for living room rug.  The soft white shaggy rug is moving on up to baby boy's room.
  3. Move Finley's clothes out of his closet into her own.  Still waiting on her dad to finish her closet!
I can't wait to share the nursery with you all.
But I feel like I have to wait until it is complete!
Don't you just love the little guy above all bundled up like a baby eskimo!
I found him on the Rikshaw Design Blog!

Speaking of babies check out my find...

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas...

Finley visited Santa a few nights ago with her Mimi.  As you can see it did not go over well.
I think I'll be signing off for the weekend.  I am in love (as are many others) with the first photo from House Beautiful.  I don't have a banister on my stairway but if I did I would sure as heck re-create this!  I haven't given up yet on it though...there may be a few other spots in my house appropriate for this!

Merry Christmas my friends!

black, white, and pink...

In the past when I thought of black, white, and pink together all I could think was...
Victoria Secret!
Not that V.S. is a bad thing, I do love that store and their comfy flannel p.j.s,
but I never really thought decorating in those colors would be a good thing.
Almost like it was too obvious of a color combo...
UNLESS it is done right.  Like the pictures above...
I think next year I will be moving my big green tree into a different room and bringing in a white tree to decorate with lots of lovely colors!  So darling...yet adds some glamour
Happy Wednesday!  We are off to our first family Christmas function!

With a high of 14 degrees and snow all around, I'm not sure that I will be leaving the house with Finley today.  Instead we may finish working on a fun Christmas card display like the ones above and maybe some other fun holiday activities.  After all we only have three months left of just mommy and Finley time.  Bittersweet...

We are skipping the gym today...
Even though I could use all the exercise I can get!
However, I'm not sure it's doing anything for me right now ;)
The little one and I are going to have a cozy morning at home in our pajamas,
cleaning the house and baking for company tonight!  We may even squeeze a nap in!
I wanted to leave you with the images above that I love, love, love...

Holiday Cheer

I am having a Holiday get together at my home tomorrow night, and having been gone all weekend and a busy last two days filled with Dr.'s appointments and unpacking I have not had the motivation to finish decorating.  So here is to a little inspiration plus motivation to hopefully get myself going...
p.s.  is it the bed or just the presents that gets me in the last picture???
