neutrals

Of course I love all the color this spring.  You know how much I love splashes of color.
But I must say I will forever love my neutrals... and black of course.

The lack of posts is due to beautiful outdoor weather and my new cookbook, from which I have made some of the most delicious things.  If you don't have P.W.'s new cookbook then I highly suggest you get out and get it...NOW!

work space

Thinking about revamping my desk area.
A few fun inspiration photos to help me move along!
However the weather has been so amazing that I haven't paid much attention to my poor home or the piles of laundry in my laundry room.  The kids and I have been outdoors, playing in sprinklers, raking leaves, working in the yard, and most recently purchasing a new umbrella for our table on the deck.
So maybe with a little rain I'll get back indoors and focus on my sweet little house.

mama said...

Well last week with the kiddos was definitely interesting.  They were just nuts, and grumpy, and constantly crying over nothing.  It was a full moon, and believe this or not my kids get crazy with the full moon and go back to normal as soon as it is no longer full.  It is bizarre...
This week has been much more normal with them and for that I am thankful!!  We spent hours yesterday afternoon outdoors.  They played in the dirt and I read my new Pioneer Woman cookbook.
I even made her spicy caesar salad last night and it was defintely yummy! and spicy!

raspberry lattice fabric

I'm a little excited about this fabric I just ordered for my wingback chairs.
Yes, I know that I have been talking about recovering a set of wingbacks for a long time.  After having recovered 2 sets for 2 different clients I have finally managed to make a decision and order my fabric.
I ordered from Fabricguru.com
Robert Allen Lattice in Raspberry
I cannot wait to see this on my chairs!
Did I mention that the chairs were Free?!  Even better deal!

wardrobe to home style

I am loving all of these new bright, fun, and crisp color combos for spring!
How fabulous would these tones look not only in your closet but
 in your home!
I have always thought that my home decor should reflect my wardrobe
to give the best sense of my design style.
Which is probably why I have a black and white striped rug, a hot pink couch, and lots of gold accessories!  If I could make my home look like a j.crew catalog I would be one happy girl!

pale shades

How I love pastels!  They are always so appealing to the eye
and give the perfect feminine touch.

kindness

My mother's words of wisdom, "kill them with kindness".  And you know what?
That has never failed me.  So no matter who gets under your skin ladies, take the high road.  You will be the one to benefit in the end.  I bet Courtney wishes she would have killed them with kindness after watching The Women Tell All! ;)

cute garage

The weekend is approaching!  And I am glad because it has been a long week!
I had an upper g.i. this week, which was by the way not the most pleasant thing, and when Adam came home that night he saw a bottle of modge podge on my desk. He asked, " Is that the rest of the drink you had to have at your test?  Why didn't you finish the bottle?"
Obviously the man has never been on Pinterest! Or never watched Rosie!
That woman modge podged everything!

By the way, Hello cute garage!
Wanna come to my house?
