Easter Sunday

Hope the Easter Bunny treated you all well!
He certainly did at our house!
Here is a weekend re-cap of a few of our festivities!

This is very brave of me...
I mean I am showing y'all my belly.  My belly that hasn't seen sunshine since last August!
This was me at 5 weeks...
Boy have things grown since then!

Here I am at 10 weeks...

So I am not sure what happened in 5 weeks time but at this rate of growth I am going to have to work extra hard in the gym to keep the weight off everywhere else...ugh!
I have been running 3 miles 5 days a week and then going to chi ball, yoga, and reformer classes as well.  The problem is I am all the time.
I will seriously eat a Jimmy Johns sandwich and a half hour later I am hungry for another.  I have been chugging and chugging 33 oz bottles of smart water.  I have given up on my diet coke habit, except maybe once a week...
So my pilates instructor suggested that I not do as much cardio and try more strength training.
So today I tried it.  I ran 1 mile.  Just 1 mile...
I felt like a quitter by the way.
And then I did a half hour of weights.

Guess what?  I am still hungry!
Every day at 3 p.m. I am starving.   Not for a snack but for a meal...
What have I been craving?

a good old club sandwich and of course I want it on white bread like I did when I was a kid.  Instead I bought whole grain fiber bread and it worked just fine.

Strawberry and chocolate milkshakes, but no I am not giving in on this one.  Not yet! Maybe 3rd trimester when I just don't care anymore.

Cereal!  But weird cereal that I never eat like Cracklin oat bran and crispix.  These were my aunt's favorites when I was a child and she always let me snack on these when I came over to her house.

Jimmy Johns, slim 6 with avocado.  Yes that is just cheese and avocado but it is oh so good!  Maybe that is why I want a second sandwich???

Leo's pizza sauce by the spoon...

Chips and Salsa and of course I would LOVE to have a margarita on the rocks with salt but that will have to wait til Halloween this fall...

And in the end I know its just baby weight and I have always gotten it off before but each time it gets a little harder.  I will be 30 in August and my metabolism will be slowing down soon.
So for now I am going to try to stay in control of this humongous appetite but by August if I give up

  1. A couple of thoughts: Most of your cravings aren't that bad! I think Special K makes a cereal with strawberries and chocolate in it, so that might help with that craving. And you could totally make virgin margaritas for yourself!

  2. A virgin margarita would hit the spot! Maybe I'll try that tonight! Thanks for the idea and thanks for reading!!

I'd love to hear what you think...
